In Canada, the CAIB 4 exam is the exam you have to pass in order to get your Level 3 General Insurance License which allows you to start and manage your own brokerage. It’s also one of the exams you need for the CAIB designation.
Unlike the other CAIB exams, the CAIB 4 exam has a very unique format. Gone are the definitions questions, multiple choice questions and short answer questions. The CAIB 4 exam has between 18 to 20 short and long answer questions with each question being worth about 5 points. Since the questions are worth more points, you’ll expect them to be a little bit more open ended and you’ll need to write a little bit more as well to answer each question.
