To be successful on your exam, you need to know the LLQP exam questions and be prepared for them. Outside of studying the material, the second biggest challenge for students is getting used to the style of questions you will see.
As you might already know, the LLQP (or HLLQP) exam is broken up into 4 exam modules:
- Life Insurance
- Accident & Sickness Insurance
- Segregated Funds & Annuities
- Ethics & Professional Practice (Quebec and Common Law versions)
Each exam module contains 50 questions except for the Ethics exam which has only 30 questions.
You have 90 minutes to complete each exam except for the shorter Ethics exam which is only 60 minutes long.
Fortunately, the exam is open book, all multiple choice, and you only need 60% in each module to pass.
To become a fully licensed life insurance agent, you need to pass all 4 modules. If you only pass the A&S exam and the Ethics exam, you can only sell accident & sickness insurance.
Preparing for the LLQP Exam Questions
There are several ways to prepare for the LLQP exam questions. The first and most important thing is to make sure you study the LLQP course thoroughly and understand all of the concepts.
The second most important thing is to do a lot of practice questions and mock exams. For students that just need a little bit more practice, we have created a LLQP practice question bundle containing hundreds of practice questions and mock exams.
The bundle includes practice exam questions for all 4 modules but they are also available for individual purchase.
The third most important thing is to get familiar with the CISRO reference material that you will have access to during your exam. If you understand where to find things, you will have an easier time writing the exam.
