According to the General Insurance Council Bylaws (Section 3) laid out by the Insurance Council of Saskatchewan (ICS), All Classes of licensees other than Life, Restricted Auto, or Adjuster licensees must complete a Council approved ethics course as part of the mandatory ethics training.
Mandatory Ethics Training Course Requirements
As of January 1st, 2010, all Restricted Auto and All Classes other than Life insurance licensees must complete at least 3 hours of ICS approved ethics courses within each 5 year cycle.
If you are a SK resident who became licensed on or after January 1st, 2010, you must complete the ethics training within 3 years of licensing and complete the training again within each subsequent 5 year cycle.
If you were licensed prior to January 1st, 2010, you must have completed the ethics courses by your annual reporting date in 2013 and again within each subsequent 5 year cycle.
Luckily, these courses will count towards your CE credit requirements.
